The Bears' rally from a 10-point deficit in the final two minutes of regulation to beat the Packers 22-16 in overtime last Sunday turned what looked like another dreadful loss to the Packers into one of the best Bears regular-season victories ever.
It was a walk-off win. It had memorable, highlight-reel plays — Caleb Williams' fourth-down touchdown pass to rookie wide receiver Jahdae Walker; Josh Blackwell's recovery of an onside kick; and Williams' 46-yard touchdown pass to DJ Moore in overtime to win it. It ultimately clinched a playoff spot. And, perhaps most of all, it came against the Packers, who have tormented the Bears with similar heroics for most of the last three decades.
The rest of the season will put that game in a better perspective — it could help the Bears earn the No. 1 overall seed in the NFC, or win the NFC North. But for now it could easily rate No. 1 or No. 2 on this list of "Fantastic Finishes" from the Sun-Times' 2019 "Bears Scrapbook" series.
